Structural Cummerbund

After over a year in development and trials, the Structural Cummerbund is made with laser cut materials, quick release buckles, tidies for the built-in STV straps and to top it all off, is reinforced with a stiff thermoplastic to prevent it sagging under the weight of pouches or side plates.

This stiff cummerbund allows the user to add additional pouches to the sides of their body armour without them sagging under the weight due to being reinforced with a one piece lasercut thermoplastic inner, similar to the Gen 3 Operators Belt and Brecon Belt.

The original STV straps are tidied away by the Structural Cummerbund to prevent the user having to tape them up or cut them off. Meaning that no permanent modifications to the PPE is required to use the Structural Cummerbunds.

The much-hated double buckle system is replaced with quick release buckles, while still allowing use of the built in Virtus quick release system.

Due to the Structural Cummerbund being attached by elastic on the rear of the STV they have an element of stretch for when the user adds layers beneath the STV to prevent them having to constantly adjust its tightness, allowing constant breathability and mobility.

Gives the user an additional 6x3 Molle mounting area on each side.

Still allows use of issued side plate pouches and plates, and prevents them sagging on the body when worn.

To attach the cummerbund to the rear of the body armour simply weave the supplied elastic cord through the cummerbund and the molle on the STV in a zigzag pattern. To prevent cummerbunds from sagging, install the supplied laser cut Strap Stays, as shown in the product photos.
